Merry Christmas

What a fun December! We had the arrival of Elfy who has made us giggle with his many antics including drawing on photos, decorating the Christmas tree and *gasp* drawing on the small boy last night!! I will be very sad when he returns to Father Christmas tonight.

We had the annual visit to Santa. He is an absolutely brilliant Santa with such a friendly manner. Small boy loved him!

And now tonight we have a few presents piling up under the tree, which I have loved this year. I have bought lots of new ornaments for it this year including toadstools, a snowman and some gorgeous angel wings which I think will have to stay out after the tree has gone.
Tomorrow is going to be a busy baking, last minute cleaning and present delivering day, so for now I will wish you a very merry Christmas and I hope a very peaceful New Year xx

Twas the night....

before Christmas...hee hee my second Christmas card. I fell in love with this stamp set from Waltzing mouse stamps and this image from Mo Manning. I didn't get round to using them last Christmas, so I've made sure I'll have some ready this year. I think you will see this sleepy mouse again, hes a cutey.
Heres a close up of him in his little tea cup bed. I've coloured him with promarkers, the ribbon is from my stash and the flower and lace is from wild orchid crafts.

a little early :)

Ha! So this is my first christmas card of 2011... I'm going to try and make one everyweek, the theory is that I will have more time to make handmade gifts instead of job lots of cards...hmmm we'll see.
Sorry the picture is a little blurry, light wasn't great yesterday.
I've used some gorgeous wild orchid craft flowers and my lovely magnolia with a star. Papers are left over mitten weather from cosmo cricket.
Well today I have decided to start jogging... there said it. I have been out for 10 minutes today (gotta build up slowly lol this girl ain't fit!!) Really want to try and keep it up. Early days though, let you know how much I ache hee hee.
Enjoy the rest of your Monday, need to go and fill my cupboards.

LOTV Christmas

Well Halloween is over so now its straight onto Christmas lol! I made these simple Christmas cards using James Bear in the snow. I've coloured him with promarkers and then used my polychromos to give some added depth. I love the finished image. I stamped him straight onto the kraft card and added stickles and liquid pearls for sparkle and texture. I punched a scallop circle and stamped the sentiment onto an insert inside the card.
Here's another one using James Bear and a pile of presents. Thanks for looking xxx

All white

As you may know by now I'm not too hot on completing challenges on time, life always has a way of getting in the way of my crafting time ;)
This card is a sketch from the lili of the valley challenge a couple(?) of weeks ago. I've wanted to try the all white technique for a while, so when I got this angel from LOTV I thought it was the perfect image to use.
I lightly coloured around the edges of image with a pink promarker and used a blender pen to just soften the colour. The cardstock is white embossed bazzil and then I've used 2 embossing folders for added texture. I've gone round all the edges with stickles and added it to her wings and the martha snowflakes. I've used a nesti frame for the sentiment at the top.

First Christmas card.. Yay!

Very quick post today as I am very busy! I've managed to finish my first Christmas card for the Just Magnolia challenge this week which was to use acetate. I found a tutorial for this acetate card at the woj tutorial blog (thank you) and I changed the sizes to fit my bit of acetate. The papers are basic grey wassail and I used snow flurry tilda.

Oh just a quickie ;)

Hi folks! Wow! So busy! Its nearly here and I'm so not ready. I have however finished my table favors (you know how crafting comes before anything else ha ha!)
I did these after reading about a technique on jo's blog (scrapbookparty) so thank you.
I have brayered the new bride speciality design papers with real red ink and then made these twist boxes (from Dawns stamping moments) I added a flower made using several scallop circle punches which I cut down the scallops to make petals and then held them together with a rhinestone brad.
I have put chocolate santas inside :)

These are some lunch bags I decorated for Ollie's teachers. I made chocote boxes using Lauren's forkeeps {sake} template.
Tflx teas on the table! Lucky me.
