Lavinia new love stamps

I am trying to find my stamping and card making mojo this year, it went a bit astray last year as new hobbies (well hobby) took over.
When we went to the NEC before Christmas I fell in love with these beautiful stamps from Lavinia. i was really lucky to have Mum with me and she bought me some for Christmas!
Yesterday I had a bit of a go at doing my own brayering (I have been using Lavinia's already made backgrounds) anyway this is a bit of a first attempt, I have a lot to learn yet, but I am quite pleased with the results.
Looking forward to another little play today.

Happy fathers day.

 To two great dads!
The above card is a decopaged Marshmallow from Daisy and dandelion and down below is little messages from fizzy moon. I've coloured him with promarkers using a dotty spotty technique I saw in one of the craft mags a few weeks ago.
Anyway I hope you have enjoyed your day. My DH has been waited on hand and foot today starting with breakfast in bed (cooked no less!) from me, cups of tea from the kids (I had to make my own!)  and his mum made him his dinner.
We've also stocked him up with pants, sweeties,a tie and a new mug. How lucky was he.

Happy Birthday (again! last time for a while!)

Ollie!!
This is our card for him. I used the Tatty bear stamp that came free on the latest docrafts mag. He is a cutie. Very apt for Ollie this birthday as we went to Build a bear on Saturday to make him a new bear for his birthday. (Will add pics later on in the week)
He insisted on a DS birthday cake and blew out all his candles.
We've had a super day, hope you have too :)

Happy Birthday...

Dad!!!

Hope you have a nice day.
He's a bit of a gardner so I thought this LOTV In the shed would suit him well.
Big hugs and kisses to you Dad today. Thank you for all the stuff you do for me and the kids.

Happy Birthday Laura!

Happy birthday today to my gorgeous girlie. She's entering her teens today so I think this maybe the last time I'll get away with a cutie card like this :)
We are having a party this after birthday/wedding party with some of our friends and family. I'm feeling rather excited for Kate and Wills! She is absolutely gorgeous and I think she will make a perfect princess.
Enjoy your celebrations today, and thank you for all the lovely comments you are leaving for me I appreciate them all :) xxx

Happy mothers day

Happy mothers day to all us mums :)
These are my mothers day cards this year for my mum and Paul's mum.
I thank God everyday that our mum's are still here with us, they truely are a gift and can't imagine life without them.
Sometimes though I think when your a child/teen you don't really appreciate exactly what our mum's do for us...I know I didn't. I also think that its not until you have children of your own do realise what we actually put our mums through!
A couple of weeks ago I decided to venture into my lovely daughters bedroom, you know to give it a good clean out. I'm glad I did, but oh what a mess! What with nail varnish, makeup, sweet wrappers and the biggest pile of washing you have ever seen, I wish I hadn't! It took the best part of Sunday to get it tidy.
I was telling my mum about it later on in the week...she just raised an eyebrow, laughed and said I knew someone else like that... Obviously she was talking about my sister because I'm sure it wasn't me ;P
Us mum's put up with a lot, enjoy every bit of pampering you get today and love every minute .....
we deserve it!!
Love you mum xxxx

A quick post to share this birthday card with you. Its a digi by Heather Ellis and you can find her here in her pure innocence range. I think she is very sweet.
She is coloured with promarkers and my papers are my minds eye (again! But they are so summery) and I've used a magnolia border die. The stitching stamp is from waltzing mouse.
Back soon :)

I know ... t'is another Odd girl :) Really loving these at the moment. This is Mae posies. She is coloured with promarkers. Over on the Odd girl blog there is a challenge to add a handmade embellishment to your project. Mine is a rose type flower, originally stuck down with double sided tape but overnight it pinged off the card so I had to attack it with the glue gun lol!
I've used some rather gorg october afternoon fly a kite papers... love polka dots finding it hard to keep cutting into them as I would just like to stroke them!

Anyway I'm going to enter my card into 2 challenges, the Some odd girl challenge for my handmade embellishment and Passion for promarkers who would like to see "sugar rush" .
Thanks x

Happy anniversary mum and dad!

This card is for my Mum and Dad who celebrate their 41st wedding anniversary today! It doesn't seem that long since we had their party last year...time is flying.
The card template is from Lauren Meader HERE and I cut it out on my cricut. The papers are new ones from My minds eye- Stella and rose (Aren't they just gorgeous!) And the stamp is a digital one from the stamp fairy called Lenny and Linda in love.
Here's a closer look at the image. I've coloured with promarkers and added a bit of depth with a brown polychromo.

Mum , Dad have a lovely day... big hugs xxx

Another Odd girl creation. I had seen somewhere on a challenge blog where the challenge was to use coffee and cream colours. Great thinks me...mmm I'll use my polychromos not used them for ages.
Anyway when  I looked to see what the challenge blog was I found that it was the passion for promarkers blog... DOH!!
Well heres me card not entered into that challenge!
Hope your enjoying time off for the hols.
Hugs Debbie x

Another Odd girl image fell in my shopping basket last week (its ok she was from the retirement "sale") lol! Because that of course justifies it :)
She's called Sweey Kaylee. I made this card for my Uncle's wife I think she will like it. Notice the little butterflies...there will be more ;)
Paper is October afternoon and stamps are Lili of the valley.
Enjoy your day
hugs Debbie x

Aaaarrrhhhh!

Another Tiddly ink image that fell in my basket...but I really needed this one! Ollie is at a party (another one he has a better social life than me!) next week and the invite had pirates on it , so I thought Dread pirate Dylan and the treasure map was perfect!!!
I printed the map out larger for the background and again to go just behind him. Dylan is coloured with promarkers. I printed the sentiment out on my computer.

Running/ jogging/power walking is going well, I bought some hand weights today and they are great, although akward when trying to hold dog leads and when dogs run off to sniff other dogs then trip one over whilst barking madly at a bigger dog lol!!! I only hope there weren't too many other people watching ;)
I put my shuffle on today and it really helped to run just that little bit further. Going to go straight after work tomorrow ...without the dogs and see how I get on its a bit of a longer route.
Thanks for visiting!
