Sharing a quick LOTV fairy card with you. It was for Paul's aunty's birthday last week. She is a little more sparkly in real life as are the flowers, I put lots of stickles on them.
Enjoy the bank holiday weekend! :)

Happy mothers day

Happy mothers day to all us mums :)
These are my mothers day cards this year for my mum and Paul's mum.
I thank God everyday that our mum's are still here with us, they truely are a gift and can't imagine life without them.
Sometimes though I think when your a child/teen you don't really appreciate exactly what our mum's do for us...I know I didn't. I also think that its not until you have children of your own do realise what we actually put our mums through!
A couple of weeks ago I decided to venture into my lovely daughters bedroom, you know to give it a good clean out. I'm glad I did, but oh what a mess! What with nail varnish, makeup, sweet wrappers and the biggest pile of washing you have ever seen, I wish I hadn't! It took the best part of Sunday to get it tidy.
I was telling my mum about it later on in the week...she just raised an eyebrow, laughed and said I knew someone else like that... Obviously she was talking about my sister because I'm sure it wasn't me ;P
Us mum's put up with a lot, enjoy every bit of pampering you get today and love every minute .....
we deserve it!!
Love you mum xxxx

Finally got in the craft room yesterday to finish up this twisted easel card. I've made it for one of Ollie's friends as he has been invited to her birthday party (first one in big school) in February.
I've used the gorgeous fairy stamp from LOTV and coloured her with promarkers and added lots of stickes and marshmallow glimmer mist so it really sparkles. The papers are indian summer by basic grey and the seam binding is from the ribbon girl...strawberry glaze.
Heres a close up of the sentiment  (craftwork cards) and flowers (wild orchid crafts) I'm going to add a tag at the back when I can pin Ollie down to write it!
What is it about boys and writing? We're doing great with reading (he loves books) but writing .... nope no thank you! Ah well.

Enjoy the rest of the day and thanks for visiting :)

I'm not quite sure whats happening to my craft time just lately but I don t seem to have any! Trouble is I can't seem to notice what I am doing with my time either lol!
Paul was out last night so while I watched "My big fat gypsy wedding" I moved into the lounge to make this card for my Aunty, its her birthday on Monday.
I've used a Lili of the valley image 'tea party' and coloured it with promarkers. The papers are basic grey indian summer and I got the pink seam binding (I think its pink tulip) from the Ribbon girl.
Right I'm off to make another cuppa as the dog has just jumped off the settee and knocked it off the table..grrrrr!

Boy birthday card

Just a quick one this was Jack's birthday card I made him for his birthday last Saturday. I don't know but I find boy cards difficult but I love these boy images from lotv I may invest in some more.
Ollie was fine yesterday, he ate most of his lunch (although "he told me he didn't want a cheese string" lol)
and he also had a little sticker on his jumper that said "star of the day" . One very proud mummy :)

Helllooo!!!

Hello people :) I've been a very bad blogger recently due to broken laptops and ok general lazyness. I have been busy with Christmas cards and the like but just not been taking photos....doh! Anyways I've made this LOTV card as a commision for my friend. Its for her sisters 50th birthday. I love the cupcake thing.
talking cupcakes I made gingerbread cupcakes today... they are very yummy and smell divine and christmassy and have been approved by my sweet sister :) I may try some mince pie flavor ones tomorrow if I get time. Will post some pics.

LOTV Christmas

Well Halloween is over so now its straight onto Christmas lol! I made these simple Christmas cards using James Bear in the snow. I've coloured him with promarkers and then used my polychromos to give some added depth. I love the finished image. I stamped him straight onto the kraft card and added stickles and liquid pearls for sparkle and texture. I punched a scallop circle and stamped the sentiment onto an insert inside the card.
Here's another one using James Bear and a pile of presents. Thanks for looking xxx

Pride and joy birthday card

This is a birthday card for my Father-in-law it was his birthday yesterday. I've used the sketch by Bev (loosly) on the lili of the valley challenge blog , I wanted to keep it nice and simple as its for a man ;) the stamp is called pride and joy. (very apt as he has just had a new car) The papers are from joy ride by cosmo cricket, sentiment is craftwork cards and card is SU.

All white

As you may know by now I'm not too hot on completing challenges on time, life always has a way of getting in the way of my crafting time ;)
This card is a sketch from the lili of the valley challenge a couple(?) of weeks ago. I've wanted to try the all white technique for a while, so when I got this angel from LOTV I thought it was the perfect image to use.
I lightly coloured around the edges of image with a pink promarker and used a blender pen to just soften the colour. The cardstock is white embossed bazzil and then I've used 2 embossing folders for added texture. I've gone round all the edges with stickles and added it to her wings and the martha snowflakes. I've used a nesti frame for the sentiment at the top.

an untraditional Christmas

Found a lovely little shop yesterday (and a nice pub!) while out with my friend Lynne called The little paper house. Had some gorgeous bits and pieces in, these papers from MME were one of my purchases aswell as some more cosmo cricket and some rather nice wool ....
Anyway this card is for the Lili of the valley challenge to use untraditional colours on your christmas card, I've coloured James in with promarkers I think he looks a bit cold though! I've used the sketch from over on friday sketchers too. The flower is a prima one I found in my stash that I must have had for ages!
I have a little house guest staying with me for a couple of weeks.. its Bella's mum, Izzy. Bella was a bit jealous when I first sat down and Izzy climbed up next to me so we quickly had a rearrange and I now have Bella on my knee and Izzy on my feet and Holly is lying on the floor in front of me! I'll post some piccies tomorrow.

Late again

So this was the sketch from last weeks Lili of the valley challenge but as I scrapped on Wednesday (and ones busy social life!) I didn't get it finished or uploaded in time. I used the "all wrapped up" stamp from lili of the valley, coloured with promarkers, paper is mitten weather, flowers and pearls are wild orchid crafts.
Had a lovely meal out last night with Ma and Pa and a date with the ironing later lol!

Another easel

Hi guys long time no blog lol! Loads happened over the weekend. DH and kids have gone to usa for a wedding (I couldn't get time off...and finding it very hard :( ) But I did spend a lovely weekend in Harrogate with ma and pa (lol) and little sis at my cousins bbq (bloody freezing I might add!) We spent Saturday browsing the shops in Harrogate and went for a cuppa in Betty's tea rooms (Yes and I had cake... very sweet cake) and then on sunday I went to the flower show (very cross that said cousin did not have party last weekend when it was the craft show...grrrr) but the flower show was lovely and so was the huge chunk of lemon drizzle cake i consumed too :)
I did however find these little beauties in a craft shop for making this lovely shape for my easel card. I think they're called go kreate but I'll have to check.
Anyway wedding was today and I've been blubbering over pics  paul has sent me on FB, my kids look gorgeous x
Thanks for popping in
hugs xx

Milk and biscuits....yum :)

Good evening x I have to say that I love this image! It reminds me of my little one and his cousin. They really do get on well and enjoy having little chats and I love listening to them as they eat their lunch or have a snack. They made us giggle last week as one played on the ds the other ate his lunch whilst peering over the other ones shoulder... so cute.
Anyway the image is from LOTV and is called milk and biscuits and this card is for their challenge which is one for the boys. I've used the sketch from sketch saturday too.
Its took me ages to write this small post cos I'm watching 71 degrees north and rather enjoying it lol!

LOTV wedding card

I
I've been busy this weekend trying to get this card and box finished, but I seem to have had loads of interuptions with one thing and another that its only got done today!
It's for a very special wedding happening next week, unfortunatly I won't be able to be there so I needed this to be extra special.
I have made an easel card and rounded the bottom corners with the big corner rounder punch. I stamped the LOTV wedding couple and coloured with promarkers and then used UTEE to make the cracked glass.
All card and papers are SU inked and distressed. I've added WOC flowers and lace.
The sentiment is SU curvy verses.

I've made a box to keep it safe and I'm going to bubble wrap it as it has to go all the way to America  later on this week. I've mirrored the design on the card with just part of the image cut with a nestie.
I hope they like it!

2 challenges today.

And a good afternoon! I've been cooking with Ollie this morning we made choc chunk brownies and had great fun, Ollie enjoyed licking the bowl and whisk it was rather yummy.
I made this card late last night (early this morning) as I couldn't sleep. I've used the new sketch from the Lili of the valley challenge blog and James the bear with a pile of presents. I've coloured him with promarkers and as he is a teddy bear too I'm going to enter this card into the passion for promarker challenge who want to see a teddy on your card ;)
Just nice and simple today papers are Mitten weather, flowers from WOC and some little gems from my local bam shop.
Back to work on Monday (Boo hoo) Although its an inset and school is a great place to work when theres no kids in it lol!!! (Only joking but you can get loads of jobs done ;)
Thanks for dropping by.

Afternoon tea?

Love this little cutie image from Lili of the valley! This card is for the Lili of the valley challenge which is circles and dots and I've used the sketch from sketch saturday. I have the perfect set of sentiments from waltzing mouse stamps and the papers are papermania.
Had a lovely day with my sis and her kids today.... thank you. The kids all got together and had a whale of a time making biscuits (there weren't many left for them to cook though!) And then icing them and ending up with green tongues :)
Its been lovely here today, hope its been as nice where you are. Thanks for stopping by.
